Blog #5: Mentorship Reflection

1. Mentorship question: Descrive your experience in how you found your mentorship? If you haven't found one yet, describe your experience so far in the search of a mentor.

In the effort to find a mentor, I've emailed every professor in the psychology department of CalPoly Pomona and arranged for interviews to get more insight in what information they could contribute to my project, and if they would be willing to be my mentor. I met with the Chair of CalPoly's psychology and sociology department and he has put me in contact with the newly hired Social Psychology professor who is currently conducting her own research as well. I hope to have her as my mentor starting this fall.

2. Research Question: What has been your most important article you have read so far and why?

The most important article I have read so far that contributed the most to my research was "How to Conduct a Psychology Experiment." This is because it explained all the different types of experiments and their differences. It dedicated one page for each step and it gave me a better understanding that I have been able to apply to every published social psychology experiment Ive also researched.
